STEAM Day Las Rozas 2026
Digital careers, up close — before the first university choice.
On 26 February 2026, the Ayuntamiento de Las Rozas and Las Rozas Next hosted STEAM Day at HUB232 (C/Kálamos 32): a free orientation day for 4th-year ESO and baccalaureate students to discover in-demand digital professions — from AI and robotics to cybersecurity, biotech, games and digital art.
Previous editions have brought 300+ students together with companies and universities including U-tad, URJC, UAM, UCM and CSIC. The format is hands-on: short talks, demos and direct contact with professionals who do this work every day.
Thinkia joined to answer a question students rarely hear clearly: what does a career in enterprise AI actually look like?
What we shared
- Beyond the chatbot — Enterprise AI means data, platforms, agents, governance and teams — not just prompting a model.
- Skills that compound — Curiosity, problem-solving and comfort with technology matter as much as any single tool.
- Las Rozas as a tech corridor — From U-tad and Hub Las Rozas Innova to events like U-Match and AI Talks, the municipality is building a real pipeline between schools, university and industry.
STEAM Day is part of Las Rozas T-Orienta, the council’s professional guidance programme for families and students. We’re committed to that ecosystem — because the talent we hire tomorrow often starts with a conversation like this one.
